Trip Information

  • The Spring 2016 Haiti Mission Trip is 02/26/2016 - 03/05/2016
    • Trip To Haiti
      • We'll meet on 02/26/2016 at 4:30 p.m.. at Grace to leave for Chicago at 5:00 p.m.
      • We'll stay overnight at the Courtyard Marriott O'Hare Hotel.
      • We'll leave the hotel to go to O'Hare at 3:30 a.m.(?)
      • The flight departs from Chicago at 6:00 a.m. on 02/27/2016.
      • We arrive in Miami at 10:04 AM
      • We depart from Miami at 11:24 AM.
      • We arrive in Haiti (PAP) at 1:25.m..
    • Back to Iowa
      • We depart from Haiti at 9:05 AM on 03/05/2016.
      • We arrive at Miami at 11:13 AM .
      • We leave Miami at 5:55 PM.
      • We arrive at O'Hare at 8:24 PM
      • We plan to drive back to North Liberty that evening. (03/05/2016).
  • The registration deadline is 12/20/2015.
  • The cost is approximately $2030 per person. 
  • The funds are due on 02/21/2016.
  • In Haiti, we will be staying in Port Au Prince.
  • The address is

  • The Pastor's Conference will be on Thursday (03/03/2016). Pastor WaWa will be speaking and attending the Clinic in the morning.

  • 2nd Planning Meeting: 11:00 a.m. at 01/31/2016 at Grace in Room 203
  • 3rd Planning Meeting: 11:00 a.m. at 02/14/2016 at Grace in Room 203
  • Packing Party: We are meeting at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, 02/24/2016 at Grace Community Church room 305.
  • Post Haiti Report will be during 3rd Service on March 20th in room Room 307.

Homework for Spring 2016 Trip

  • Study the Gospel of John. Reread it a few times. Pay attention to how Jesus interacted with people. 
  • Establish 2 prayer buddies. One who is going on the trip and one is staying home. If your spouse is going on the trip, don't choose your spouse. 
    • However, prayer with your spouse on the trip in highly encouraged :)
  • Other suggestions not on the handout.
    • Memorize scripture. Pick a few verses on both sharing the gospel and suffering.
    • Read Encounters with Jesus (listed below)
    • If you haven't been through the counseling training, read Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands by Paul Tripp (listed below).
